Iva's Story
Through Chronological Bible Storying, Iva May teaches women the story of redemption and assists them in realizing their own place in God's story.
Iva is a former missionary to the Middle East and Southern Africa. Her extensive cross-cultural experience has prepared her to engage women in the rapidly changing American culture.
In 2003, Iva switched gears as she transferred the principles behind Chronological Bible Storying into the American context and adapted CBS for use in discipling younger women. Each week Iva leads several small groups that consist of 4 or 5 women. Her graduates are now serving in various states and in countries all over the world.
W3: Women, Worldview, and the Word, was developed in the home labs of 21st century women as they seek to renew their minds in a world of crazy thinking. The small group connection is most effective to impact the next generation by raising Bible literacy and offering Christ-centered and Bible-based mentoring relationships.
Iva is the wife of seminary professor and pastor, Dr. Stan May. They have three young adult children: Jennifer, Jonathan, and Steven. They live in Germantown, Tennessee, a small incorporated city outside of Memphis.
In 2007 Iva founded Shepherd-Shaped Ministries, through which she boldly proclaims the message of God's desire for a Biblically literate and transformed people.

Shepherd-Shaped: I Am My Beloveds, and He is MineEveryone loves a good love story. Solomon's Song of Songs--a love story told by God Himself--is an often-overlooked message to the modern woman that can impact every area of her life--her relationship with her husband, parents, children, in-laws, friends, and most importantly, with the Shepherd who created her.Iva May contends that to ignore the Old Testament book, filled with oriental imagery and metaphors and sometimes considered difficult to understand, is to miss learning and applying marvelous truths about Christian marriage as well as about one's intimate walk with the Lord. The Song's main character--the Shulamite woman--is a biblical Cinderella who can help today's woman answer such questions as "Who am I?", "What does being a woman mean?", and "What can I do to deal with suffering and pain?"
